If you are passionate about groundbreaking Mixed Reality technology and want to work on a team dedicated to a culture of inclusion, growth mindset and collaboration, we need you, we are hiring a Senior Visual Designer! 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive design system for Mixed Reality
  • Create innovative, performant, and compelling graphic elements and animations balancing strong aesthetics with clear functionality
  • Work closely with the Creative Director and creative design team to define and drive the visual language and style to create an authentic user experience
  • Create motion graphics and visual elements in a variety of styles and forms, mixing 2D, 2.5D and 3D techniques
  • Provide creative solutions to complex visual and interaction problems that are easy to comprehend and implement
  • Visual development: create sketches, storyboards, wireframes, pre-viz, walk-throughs and prototypes to communicate your design to the AD and the rest of the team
  • Iterate in low-fidelity to arrive at the best possible design, then execute at high-fidelity to create and deliver ship-quality visuals and content
  • Always approach a challenge from multiple angles and deliver a variety of solutions 
  • Actively participate in creative discussions and reviews, as part of effective communication with team members across disciplines
  • Contribute in all phases of product development including hands-on crafting of experiences, designing and creating assets and visual elements
  • Develop clear guidelines and identity that others can follow.
  • Communicate and present your ideas to the team and generate excitement
  • Seek out and advocate best practices across the studio for creating premium high-quality visuals and user experience design for Mixed Reality products

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A portfolio that showcases delightful and well-crafted experiences, with a refined understanding of systematic design 
  • 5+ years' of experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, product design, user interface, and/or motion graphics 
  • BA/BS in Graphic Design, Illustration, UI/UX, Digital Media (Design & Production), or related field/discipline  
  • 5+ years' experience on mainstream creative tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Great visual design skills and ability to apply and extend a design language. 
  • Expertise creating design systems, product guidelines, brand guidelines, mood boards and motion studies. 
  • Meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex design challenges.    
  • Excellent professional communication, collaboration, time-management, and organizational skills   

Aditional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with 3D visualization tools (e.g. Cinema 4D, Maya, or Houdini) 
  • Experience designing Mixed Reality or VR experiences. 
  • Experience designing UI on real-time engines (Unity).  

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
