Job Description Summary

This role sits within the Consumer Servicing design team, we focus on the design of the customer experience for the mobile app and secure website across multiple brands for our customers day to day banking needs.

Joining as a Senior Visual Designer you’ll be part of a cross-functional project team and responsible for all visual design elements, from design thinking right the way through to deployment.

Who are the core Retail Design Team?

We help drive the future vision of Lloyds Banking Group’s retail space, which is made-up of multiple parts: 17 million active digital customers, 1,800 branches and 80 million phone calls yearly. We make sure there’s a space for all customers to feel financially supported by us: in-branch, online or over the phone.

Whether it’s contributing to workshops, advising on best practice or responding to research, you'll be a design advocate and understand how to apply design principles to make accessible customer experiences.

Visual design is the first impression consumers will have of our product—it is actually arguably the most important impression it'll make. Users will decide whether to trust the credibility of a website/app based more upon its visual cues than its actual content. Additionally, it is one of the strongest ties a designer can use for effectual branding.

So what exactly would you be responsible for?

You’ll Inject empathy & creativity into the work of a multidisciplinary team of designers, product owners & engineers, ensuring customer focus through everything they do. You'll develop deep empathy for people, understand their needs, aspirations and challenges. Sharing knowledge & improve design methods as an active member our Design community.

What do we need to see from applicants?

• Proven & demonstrable background at a senior level experience in visual design for large scale projects.
• Advanced skills in: competitor analysis, concepting, work shopping, visual design across multiple platforms (iOS and Android) and mobile and web, prototyping, sketching skills
• Experience of working within design system.
• Experience of supporting user research activities.
• Proficiency with industry standard design & business tools such as; Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma, InVision, …
• The ability to handle key stakeholders in the business who come from digital and non-digital backgrounds
