Build Financial Services at Amazon's scale across the EU, in the capital of FinTech.
Amazon Payment Products is the Financial Services organisation within Amazon. Our focus is on providing the best ways to pay, and to manage financial well-being, by helping our customers access what they want and need. Our team work across many complex regulated spaces, across the marketplaces in the EU, and UK.
Key job responsibilities
* Identify high-impact projects, prioritise requests, and negotiate scope, timing, and deliverables.
* Design and conduct mixed-method studies from end to end: including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
* Inform the product design and strategy of products by translating data into insights that have clear and actionable implications for product development.
* Collaborate with product teams throughout an agile product development process. Coaching them through lightweight, DIY empathy building, heuristics, and research activities when needed.
A day in the life
A Senior UX Researcher will lead generative and evaluative research projects. Those projects are focused on key areas to help inform the Amazon Payment Products present and future product roadmaps. You are expected to think like an owner, always raise the quality of the CX and be relentless advocates for customers. You will collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Marketers, Engineers and fellow UX Researchers both within Payments and beyond, to understand opportunities to evolve the Financial Services CX at Amazon. You will also use your communication skills and ability to develop actionable insights to help drive impact across Amazon.

We encourage candidates to apply who have held the responsibilities above, regardless of years of experience or educational credentials. But we roughly expect candidates to have:
* Several years of industry experience using qualitative research methods, such as semi-structured interviews, contextual inquiries, ethnography, usability studies, diary studies, and unmoderated remote studies.
* Expertise in survey sampling, questionnaire design, and applied statistics (i.e. for surveys, usability benchmark, experimental analysis).
* Experience managing partner relationships and leading projects through the full research lifecycle.
* Experience producing impactful, high-quality research that shapes product decisions.
* A portfolio that illustrates how your research informed decision-making, showcasing deliverables, and your ability to extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bonus Points, if:
* You have experience coaching teams through product design and research best practices.
* You have an advanced degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, HCI, or a related field.
* The ability to tackle complex, high-level research challenges within an uncharted problem space.
* Experience in consumer-facing products with research leading to delightful user experiences.
* Experience with behavioural data-collection and analysis skills, (e.g., designing, conducting, and analysing all kinds of user data.)
