role Responsibility
- Understanding partner raised support cases and triaging the issue for PEng and/or other teams in the department
- Working with other teams on a solution
- Working with agile project manager to ensure resolution/outcome is achieved.
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of automated test in
- Engage and establish strong working relationships with internal product teams and partner devices teams.
- Represent test and support testing whilst working with external partners.
- Proactively identify and act on testing challenges in the constantly changing device and platform landscape.
- Integrate the software with monitoring and support tools.
- Structured and logical approach in triaging and qualifying the issues for Partner Engineering.
- Help and support in identifying departmental team of responsibility for a triaged issue and support transfer of issue to team
- Participate in the team's agile planning and delivery process.
- Participate in the team’s software development methodologies, such as pairing, code and documentation reviewing, and continuous delivery.
- Learn new technologies and keep informed of existing technologies.
- Understand raised partner support cases and provide high level summary of issues and areas of impact
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in working with TV platforms such as Virgin Media, Sky, BT & FVP
- Experience in testing TV applications on TV’s, Streamers and Game Consoles
- Experience in preparing test approaches, and implementing test plans.
- Experience in communicating with variety of stakeholders.
- Experience of testing media playback technologies.
- Working experience with test automation frameworks.
- Experience in producing test artefacts such as test plans, test charters and test reports.
- Experience of mentoring.
- Agile and Kanban experience.
- Working experience with test management tools.
- Ability to effectively balance and prioritise day-to-day work
- Positive attitude towards learning, ideation, innovation and experimentation.
