Job Description

Our client, a leading IT Consultancy giant, is looking to hire a Senior Technical Specialist / Senior Engineer with strong CA ITCM experience, for an initial 3-6 month contract. You will be joining a well-established team working on a key Central Government Programme, and working on a longer term programme of work.

Key responsibilities include

Resolution of incidents and problems,

Delivering infrastructure change and projects.

Upgrading and maintaining the toolset

Manage the applications

Identifying and delivering service improvements.

Developing the capability and skills of peers and junior engineers

You will be empowered to identify better ways of doing things and to share your ideas. You can expect to attain skills in new technologies to ensure continued growth of technical capability, with opportunities to work with all our operational teams.(inc. Windows, Solaris/Linux, Storage and Backup teams) to enhance that learning.

 

Your experience -

Significant knowledge of CA ITCM

Knowledge of Opsview/ Nagios systems.

UNIX/ POWERSHELL scripting skills.

Technical leadership during projects and live service events.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication.

Proven problem-solving ability.

Proactive approach to personal workload management.

Awareness of the ITIL Service Management framework and specifically incident and change management.
