The Team

As part of the wider Talent function, the Talent Acquisition team has the responsibility of attracting, engaging, selecting, and onboarding the very best diverse talent required to support TalkTalk’s ambitious growth plans.

Underpinning the success of the function is the continual evolution and implementation of the employer brand strategy, improving diversity metrics in the recruitment process and making sure that we have the best and most efficient systems and processes in place.

Role Expectations

Reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will work closely with two Talent Acquisition Business Partners to help in finding the best talent available in the market for TalkTalk.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Drive the pursuit of talent excellence by providing exceptional stakeholder management when discussing potential vacancies.
  • Take detailed job briefs and set clear expectations with TalkTalk’s hiring community. In doing so, provide thought leadership on the recruitment market.
  • Manage candidates through the full recruitment process, providing candidate feedback, job offer management to ensuring that ensuring that they are onboarded as smoothly as possible.
  • Use your knowledge of the candidate market and the sector/non-sector specific competitor landscape to manage hiring manager’s expectations and shape their thinking.
  • Adopt a search first approach and take pride in providing passive candidates with their perfect next career step.
  • Use multiple methods to recruit the best talent for TalkTalk, including internal talent pools, job boards, social media, sourcing, recruitment marketing and events.
  • Use your external network of contacts to garner trusted referrals for your live vacancies.
  • Built extensive candidate pipelines in hotspot, difficult to recruit areas
  • Deliver balanced shortlists in the pursuit of creating high performance teams whilst driving our Diversity & Inclusion agenda.
  • Share knowledge, insight and data with hiring managers on the benefits of having diverse teams and how to achieve that balance.
  • Working to ensure that the onboarding experience for all new hires is the best they've ever experienced.
  • Influence the discussion around remuneration. Use your market knowledge to help Reward in ensuring that we are offering competitive packages at all levels.
  • Involvement ad hoc projects which will drive a continuous improvement culture in the team. These could cover areas such as employer brand, diversity & inclusion, recruitment systems & technology and general process enhancement.
  • Ensuring that all recruitment processes adhere to legal, policy and compliance requirements.
