Role Purpose
- This role is based within the CBRE UK Retail team which will be based from Henrietta House, London W1 once refurbishment is completed from December 2021.
- This role sits within the dedicated Retail Account Team who manage all of the Transactional Activity across our clients' estate in the UK and Ireland (Global Bank)
- The Retail Transaction Management team currently comprises a Strategy & Retail Account Lead and then two distinct workstreams; the transactional activity around the ‘retained’ operational branch network and the transactional activity surrounding ‘portfolio change’ namely acquisitions, disposals, opportunities from branches at risk and re-gears of existing leases.
- The role we wish to recruit to is focused entirely on strategically asset managing the real estate transactions around the Bank’s retained branch network on a defined geographical patch, and delivering lease renewals and rent reviews for that geographic area, to be defined. There are two other Retail Transaction Managers for geographical regions who you will be working closely alongside.
- Our client outsource their transaction management, estate management and data management functions to CBRE and we manage all of the downstream activity.
- The role means that you have the opportunity to engage directly with the client and work with the retail agents and lease consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of the lease renewal and rent review transactions.
- The team have a strong track record of generating outstanding results for the client, the leading UK banking group on the High Street.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the management and delivery of service conducted by our retail agents and lease consultants.
- Responsible for the delivery of all of the lease renewals and rent reviews on the retained branch network
- Responsible for maintaining accurate data systems (WIP) for caseload.
- Ensure the appropriate recommendations reports required at different stages of the process are prepared accurately and promptly.
- Provide Management Information, data and trend information as required for internal and external reporting.
- Managing the transactions through solicitors’ hands to ensure timely conclusion of all matters.
- Ability to assist the Retained Estate Lead and the Retail Account Lead in all aspects of transaction management.
Person Specification/Requirements
- Possess good market knowledge and insight of the UK & Ireland property market
- Ability to motivate, develop and challenge internal stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and external meetings.
- The ability to confidently manage upwards as well as downwards.
- Property background with understanding of agency, deals and general Asset Management.
- Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant law within England & Wales and Scotland would be an advantage.
- Strong collaborator and willingness to work as part of a larger team.
- Ability to make sound and confident decisions and recognise the need to seek senior support where required.
- Ability to work in fast moving retail environment is essential.
- Good time management and process skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who can drive performance.
- Strong IT skills.
