At Vodafone we are evolving from a traditional network operations to a technology communications company. We’re looking to implement gigabit access and 5G across Europe, and we’re at the forefront of developing a smartwatch range and Curve, the smart GPS tracker. As a result of our digital first approach we’re looking to hire best in class software engineering talent. So far, we have redefined the software engineering profile to include and encompass new technologies. We have set up a software engineering recruitment practice and realigned our team to be business partnering in their approach. We have introduced new and exciting ways to hire and attract talent and now we need to build a global framework for software engineering hiring, develop an agile sourcing team to work alongside the practice and get to a point where we can confidently compete with the technology players in the market. In this role, you will report to the Technology Resourcing Manager and partner closely with stakeholders in Vodafone Technology to lead on permanent hiring of software engineering talent. You will work in a highly aligned global, agile team focused on attracting, assessing and on-boarding talent.
With us you will:
-Be part of helping to build a global framework for hiring Software Engineers
-Collaborate internal to build an agile sourcing team to work alongside the Software Engineering recruitment practice
-Own the end to end recruiting process, adopting a user and data led approach to identifying and assessing talent
-Attract and select the best internal and external candidates in a balanced, consistent and transparent way by being candidate centric and providing the most appropriate expertise about the job, processes and tools.
-Point of contact for the business, uses judgement based on analysis of information, ensures resourcing activity meets the short and long term needs of the business;
-Assist the associate technology recruiters in sourcing talent, thinking outside the box and using existing and new tools/methods to find and retain the best talent.
It would be nice if you have:
-Experience working for an established technology brand; a solid understanding of recruiting for software engineering.
-Experience above and beyond LinkedIn for tech sourcing; an understanding of GitHub, Stackoverflow and x-ray searching. Any experience sourcing for diversity and inclusion would be great.
-The ability to inspire others and provide exceptional service
-Obsessed about candidate experience and have a genuine interest in technology
-Experience using data to inform business decisions with your key stakeholders, including hiring teams, HRBP’s and peers within the COE
-Experience of networking and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and being branded as trustworthy, considerate and committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace
