Microsoft Hardware Dev Center is the Internet portal for all driver developers to sign and publish drivers for delivery to windows customer systems. High-quality device drivers are key to a great experience in Windows, and we must engage closely with our hardware partners to deliver drivers at scale. The team’s mission is to enable publishers to have a seamless and reliable experience to submit and distribute updated drivers to the ecosystem.

Our highly collaborative team is expanding to build more features to support this critical mission for the current and future generations of the Windows operating system. We work in the cloud, building and enhancing services, long-running orchestrated workflows, web, and API based partner interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based services and applications
• Improve design and reliability of live service, without interrupting availability
• Lead by example producing simple, extensible, and maintainable code with very few defects. Find and fixes classes of defects
• Lead design and code reviews across the feature area, understand the root causes of issues, and find ways to resolve them

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of C-family (C, C++, C#) or Java software engineering professional experience
• 2+ years of professional experience in production scale cloud application services and API design and development
• 1+ years of professional experience building web UI with a focus on UX principles and AngularJS, Angular, or ReactJS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical subject; or 7+ years of C-family/Java software engineering professional experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A real passion for working as part of a team and building great products that delight end users
• Experience building cloud services on Azure or other cloud platforms
• Experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS/VSO)
