The Xbox team is looking for an experienced developer to join our team and help forge key partnerships and provide technical expertise to strategic application development partners on Xbox. Media consumption on Xbox is a key pillar of the gaming ecosystem and we’re looking to strengthen our partnerships with key strategic partners who want to bring new content and experiences to Xbox.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and assistance for partners with bringing their apps to Xbox. You will understand the core needs of an application developer on Xbox and help them make the right decisions around technologies and APIs for our partners to showcase their content on Xbox. You will also help strengthen our Xbox platform by working with other teams across Microsoft to bring new key technologies to Xbox that partners are investing in.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to key strategic application partners on Xbox
• Effectively communicate with partners to understand their needs for platform features
• Coordinate with teams across Microsoft to bring new platform level features for applications to Xbox
• Create sample applications and reference materials for application partners
• Assist partners with utilizing our media stack technologies and APIs on Xbox

Qualifications

Must-haves:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Demonstrated technical excellence and commitment to quality
• Experience building web applications
• Passion for delighting customers and developers with quality experiences
• Flexible, self-motivated, team player

Strong pluses:

• Experience building applications against Windows APIs
• Able to quickly learn on the job - concepts, processes, technologies
• Able to deliver results despite ambiguity in the requirements and the environment
