We are experiencing exponential growth of the platform so are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who loves to:

• work on large-scale, distributed systems
• solve hard infrastructure problems
• simplify infrastructure to enable other engineers to be productive in solving their customer needs

Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks and end-to-end solutions using open technologies with sound software engineering practices.
• Work directly with engineering teams in WebXT to provide technical and operational support. 
• Incorporate feedback from our partner engineering teams to drive long-term strategic improvements to the platform. 
• Liaise with various Azure teams such as Compute, Networking and Azure Kubernetes Service to adopt cutting-edge features and influence the product roadmaps of Azure services. 
• Provide technical leadership and be a mentor for junior members of the team. 
• Support and live Microsoft's culture of diversity and inclusion. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field 
• 6+ years of industry software development experience  
• 3+ years of experience building, shipping and operating distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in operating and maintaining production environments hosted on public clouds. 
• Knowledge and experience with operating containers and Kubernetes
• Experience developing Kubernetes operators
• Experience with Linux or Windows development
• Experience with DevOps, GitOps, IaC, service meshes, etc.
• Experience in working on open-source projects. 
• Experience in Golang, .NET, C#, C++
