Do you enjoy working on a product that empowers over billion people’s work, life, play and study?  Do you enjoy lighting up the magical experience of devices on billions of PCs?   Are you excited about rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new team from ground up?  If your answers are “yes” to all the above questions, we have a great opportunity for you!  To continue support Windows PC hardware ecosystem innovations and showcasing new premium experiences, we are creating a new engineering team to build magical experience to delight our customers.  This team builds the experiences that light up the cutting-edge hardware capabilities of devices and bridge the gap between human and machines.  You will help to delight our customers with their audio, video, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, sensors, graphics, display and USB experiences.

 

We are looking for engineers who are obsessed with customers and user experience, loves hardware innovations, passionate about growing engineers and a role model of company values to lead this new team.  The candidate for this role should have prior hands-on experience of working with Windows Shell and/or Settings page framework.  The candidate needs to work well across team boundaries and effective collaborator with many platform teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of user experience to showcasing platform capabilities
  • Emphasis on product quality and customer experience
  • Model growth mindset: tirelessly improve engineering process to achieve higher quality and engineering efficiency; recover and learn from failures
  • Able to work well across team boundaries

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of software design and development in C++, C#, Java or equivalent languages
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working well across team boundaries
  • Willingness to learn, and a proactive and positive attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

 

Preferred            

  • Experience with Windows Shell and/or Settings page framework
  • Experience with application development, accessibility and localizations is highly desirable
  • Experience with cross process communication is highly desirable

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.  These requirements include but are not limited to Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
