The Azure Red Team emulates real-world attacks, providing a critical component of Azure’s “Assume Breach” strategy and ensuring readiness against determined adversaries and targeted attacks against the Microsoft Cloud.

This is a unique position on a unique offensive security team, and our senior engineers/operators will mentor you to succeed.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who wants to advance attack simulation technologies at cloud scale. In this role, you will lead a team focused on:

• Working in a highly collaborative team focused on executing real-world attacks to protect the Azure platform. You will grow your cloud security knowledge from a truly unique, offensive security, experiences.
• Build and innovate in next generation technologies in information security – you’ll build Active Attack Simulation & Passive Attack Analysis tooling that will influence security decisions for all customers of the Azure platform.
• Innovate tools that improve operational security of the Azure Platform based on Red Team findings.
• Codify and automate Threats into automation – You will connect with the community on the forefront of emerging threats which affect online services. This includes research of externally found exploits as well as proactive research on technology the Microsoft Cloud utilizes and depends on. A passion and drive for turning threat intelligence into threat emulation is a must.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of security or software development experience
• BS, MS or equivalent experience
• Security experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for managing and developing people, helping them learn new skills, and reaching their potential.
• Proven ability to deliver high quality software.
• Proven ability with C#, Python, and cloud engineering
• Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows
• Red Team / Penetration Testing Expertise
