Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience programming in Java.
• Experience with the Android platform.
• Experience with audio and video editing, media processing, transcoding, playback, graphics and/or OpenGL.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field.
• Experience with system design on Android and/or other operating systems.
• Experience building Android application libraries and frameworks.

The Android media team works on the developer-facing APIs that power audio/video playback, processing and related use cases for hundreds of thousands of Android apps. The team in London develops the open-source ExoPlayer library and are expanding into media use cases beyond playback, building out a set of easy-to-use and powerful libraries for media app developers.
