The Bing Ads team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a diverse family of services and components—from Web UI to large-scale distributed data storage, from data analysis pipelines to machine-learning systems, from end user apps to a geographically-scaled real-time ad selection engine that serves billions of requests each and every day.

Our SCP (Stream Computing Platform) team works on a distributed real time computing platform that enables near real-time capability in Bing Ads, from generating signals for online models to realtime monitoring of Ads metrics. We are looking for motivated and talented individuals to build the SCP platform in an agile, flexible, efficient and scalable way.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test and deliver quality features and also need to lead some big features and communicate with all stakeholders including internal and external to push them forward end to end smoothly.
You must feel comfortable operating within a fast moving research and development team. You should have great core development skills: strong passion for delivering quality products, proven track record of working in a product group, great design, coding, and debugging skills, and excellent written and oral communication.

Qualifications

-BS/MS or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
-6+ years of experience programming in C/C++/C#, Java and/or other computer programming languages preferred
-Experience in distributed system development, database, or other related backend system development is a big plus
-Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box"
-Expertise in feature definition, design, and feasibility
-Demonstrated skill in estimating development time
