We are the Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team- a fast-growing Engineering team of customer obsessed & passionate individuals that drive positive customer outcomes and experiences. FastTrack for Azure (FTA) is a customer success service to help customers confidently onboard to Azure and getting them on the right track to “build it right, architect it right, the first timeâ€. FT takes a solution-centric approach and provides customers with Engineering resources, best practices, tools and resources that drive Azure usage.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a balance of deep SAP on Azure expertise along with strong cloud experience and a passion to drive customer success.
Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include:
- Directly engage with customers to validate new solutions and POC's; update modules per learnings and feedback.
- Be a thought leader and share knowledge with others through best practices, solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions.
- Subject Matter Expert for SAP on Azure
- Helping customers migrate and/or build SAP workloads throughout their Azure journey towards production and expanding their cloud footprint.
- Directly engage with customers to validate new solutions and POC’s; update modules per learnings and feedback.
- Partner with various Azure Engineering subject matter experts including the Presales and Customer Advisory team to scope and build customer facing content, modules, tools and proof of concepts.
- Staying current on latest Azure/Cloud innovations in order to conduct experiments, drive product improvement, and act as an SAP subject matter trainer for other engineers.
Qualifications
Successful Candidate Competencies:
- Experience engaging with customers and partners to understand their architecture and map those into Azure IaaS for SAP and HANA tailored service.
- Basic knowledge in areas of compute, network and storage.
- Ability to communicate complex topics effectively to different audiences such as SAP Basis administrators, Network administrators, and senior leadership or customers.
- Customer and Partner Focus: proven experience driving business impact based on a deep understanding of customer and partner needs.
- Strong technical communication skills
- Dealing with ambiguity: must have the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Collaboration: exceptional collaborator on complex multi-faceted programs
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, connectivity (geo-redundancy, CDN, VPN) and tools
- Experience in High Availability and Disaster recovery for SAP technology including HANA on premise/on Cloud or a Hybrid environment a plus.
- Linux/OSS experience a plus.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms AWS/GCP is a plus
Qualifications Recommended:
- 3+ years of experience working as a SAP Technical Architect with a mix of architecture and technical lead roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Candidate should also have excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations; to lead projects and to motivate others.
- Consulting and/or Delivery experience a plus
- Fluency in French a plus but not required.
