SAP workload on the Azure platform is strategic for Microsoft’s customers. Microsoft Azure is chosen by many partners like SAP and customers to host SAP centric solutions in public cloud. SAP is hosting SaaS and PaaS offers for their customers on Azure. 

The SAP Engineering team within Azure Core is a team that has the focus on enabling, helping and supporting SAP to integrate SAP software, SaaS, and PaaS services into the Azure platform. Beyond that the team develops solution and reference architectures for SAP workload on the Azure platform. The team is spread globally with two main location of the SAP headquarter in Walldorf in Germany and the Microsoft headquarter in Redmond, WA. Main communication language of the team is English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and create new automated SAP workload scenarios for automated testing
• Work with developers of test framework developers to increase number of tests
• Work on automating test analysis
• Work with different other Azure development teams on hosting SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA systems for automated test framework and other Azure development teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience preferably as SAP Basis Architect or consultant with a mix of architecture and operations experience
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or other Advanced Sciences or related technical field
• SAP Basis Skills: SAP HA/DR Design, SAP Operational Best Practices, SAP version upgrades
• OS Skills: deep technical knowledge on at least one of the following – Windows, Linux (SUSE or RHEL). Knowledge should include performance analysis and debugging.  Deep level of knowledge on HA/DR technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed HA/DR solutions
• RDBMS Skills: deep knowledge including performance query analysis, sizing, HA/DR and storage/disk design of SAP HANA and at least 1-2 of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB
• Hyper-Visor/Cloud/Networking Skills: Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions deployed
• Familiarity with integration of SAP scenarios and test workloads into test frameworks
• Ability to deal with ambiguity to prioritize issues
