The enterprise risk function at Ara Poutama Aotearoa is responsible for ensuring effective and consistent risk management and assurance practice across the Department. The function assists and advises staff at all levels on risk management and assurance responsibilities to help ensure risks are identified, assessed, managed, and mitigated as per Department requirements. As Senior Risk and Assurance Adviser, you will support the Principal Risk Adviser and wider risk and assurance group to ensure these responsibilities are met.
Your day to day tasks will be varied but will include facilitating risk identification workshops, attending leadership and team meetings to provide support and guidance on their risk profiles and the management of their risks, as well as reviewing and analysing risk profiles and risk information to inform risk reporting. In conjunction with the Principal Risk Adviser, you will also be responsible for providing regular assurance information, insights and reporting to the Executive and other governance bodies.
