Role Purpose

The Senior Research Analyst conducts research on a bespoke and subscription basis that supports the decision-making processes of corporate clients that involve the sourcing and acquisition of specialist data centre real estate within the EMEA regions.

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised individual who is keen to learn about the high-growth digital infrastructure industry. The successful candidate will be commercially minded with an ability to work effectively as part of a team and alongside large corporate clients focused on closing high profile real estate transactions.

Good communication and relationship building skills are essential as the role is likely to involve close liaison with the CBRE office network around the world with some opportunities to travel. The role is particularly suited to an individual who is looking to utilise and grow their transactional experience through working with a range of blue-chip corporate organisations across multiple geographies. This role requires someone who understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion with important company information. 

The successful candidate will work as part of a small close-knit team based in London. Though small, globally it is the largest specialist team in its field based in one location and further benefits from the wider CBRE global network. The team specialises in technology focused real estate which is an exciting, dynamic and fast-moving industry sector providing team members with opportunities to develop new business skills in addition to those of the traditional real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities

The position calls for a highly motivated individual who is keen to deliver high-quality research on the data centre / digital infrastructure industry. The Senior Analyst will primarily: 

• Produce insightful content to subscribers including written research deliverables and insightful presentations on data centres and digital infrastructure for clients; 

• Deliver consulting projects as a subject matter expert;

• Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner; 

• Collect and analyze market data working with a database specialist; 

• Assist senior colleagues in undertaking client engagements and preparing deliverables on time and to a high quality, as well as leading on discrete pieces of work within projects/workstream;

• Communicate regularly with CBRE stakeholders and industry sources 

• Help to build relationships of trust with clients, and identify business development opportunities

• Perform other duties as necessary

Candidates will have developed capabilities in a recognized analyst role concentrating on the applied use of digital infrastructure or other technologies. Candidates with consultancy, real estate and technical backgrounds from IT vendors will also be strongly considered.

The Senior Research Analyst will:
