Xbox Studios Quality is looking for an experienced Quality Lead with a growth mindset to steer quality efforts across multiple feature areas of Minecraft. In this role, you will lead a quality team to create and deliver a modern and innovative quality strategy and be accountable for the results of its execution. You will coach and grow your team, helping them to innovate and develop creative solutions to the complex challenges of modern game development. You will foster a culture of quality both within your team and with your partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and grow an inclusive team of diverse people through coaching, mentoring, and teaching.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication capabilities, able to work across time zones, regions, cultures, disciplines, and personalities.
• Build, measure, and iterate on innovative quality strategies and plans that evolve with the needs of Minecraft in an agile development environment.
• Coordinate priorities across manual testing, data investigations, and engineering investments to increase the impact of shared deliverables.
• Make choices and tradeoffs in day-to-day work between reactionary needs and proactive investments in the future.
• Monitor, summarize, and effectively communicate the quality of the product, team, and state of quality efforts through conversations, reports, and formal presentations.
• Cultivate and maintain a healthy team culture and foster a quality mindset across your team and with your partners.
• Be a key member of the Studios Quality Mojang Leadership team, working to drive improvements in processes and technology across the team.

Qualifications

• You've led people on a test or a quality engineering team through at least one product cycle, advocating for your customers throughout.
• You leverage your experience to regularly find, create, or leverage creative and innovative approaches to doing business, and regularly review the efficacy and viability of existing methodologies.
• You are proficient at developing and directing test strategies that use multiple methods - including manual testing, data, telemetry, and automation to understand when and how to balance each based on business needs and priorities.
• You're a collaborator, a partner, and a coach who builds trusted relationships and broad networks with curiosity-based influence strategies.
