Job Description

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Keep up to date with, and assure compliance, to Part-145 (CAA / EASA / FAR / CAAC) regulations in the Collins Aerospace MRO at Leighton Buzzard.

  • Manage and carry out the MRO internal audit programme to a high standard. Liaison with external auditors.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of corrective actions resulting from any audit findings.

  • Managing non-conformances by solving issues identified by the customer and internal reporting, through NCR and 8d problem.

  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS) to meet certification requirements, the needs of customers plus business and its stakeholders. Ensuring that common way of working is consistent across the business.

  • Provide support and input at Quality meetings and taking relevant actions if applicable.

  • Manage the implementation of short -term functional objectives and KPI’s.

  • Maintain and develop relationship with the Collins Aerospace Field Service Teams at locations in the UK and abroad.

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Aerospace Standards (EASA Part 145, FAR-145) (essential)

  • Previous audit experience (essential)

  • Good knowledge of IT skills and software such as MS Office 365 – In particular Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint (essential)

  • Good knowledge of Quality tools and techniques (essential)

  • Excellent written and communication skills (essential)

  • Previous problem solving exposure within a similar engineering environment - preferably 8D, PPS, RRCA (essential)

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering information (essential)

  • Ability to work unsupervised though also happy to work as part of a wider team (essential)

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Aerospace Standards (AS9100, EASA Part-21) (desirable)

  • Strong influencing skills (desirable)

  • Previous experience of Quality investigation (desirable)

  • Continuous Improvement and 5S Mindset (desirable)

Education:

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language (essential)

  • Educated to A level or equivalent standard (desirable)

Hours of Work:

39 Hours per week with flexible start and finish times and an early finish on Fridays.

This will be an on-site role based at Leighton Buzzard. There is a travel requirement – approximately 5% of your working time.
