Job Description

About Us

Our mission is to light the path to remission for patients with complex long-term conditions like Crohn’s, Arthritis and Psoriasis. Our clinician-in-the-loop digital therapeutics help tens of thousands of patients improve their health and wellbeing; and dozens of NHS trusts improve the quality (and efficiency) of the care they deliver.

Our team works alongside world-renowned researchers, clinicians and patient groups to develop pioneering behavioural interventions that help people find their own way to living well. The data we generate helps hospitals monitor and manage their patients remotely, reducing the strain on the NHS and making sure vulnerable people stay safe.

We are committed to customer delight and invest heavily in our product. Our vision is to be part of the solution to flare, using proprietary data and machine learning to enable earlier prediction, escalation and intervention. Our roadmap is well understood and has the backing of patients, doctors, our investors and other important stakeholders.

We’re proud that our work has been recognised by the HSJ, the NHS and Design 100 among others. We were selected for NHSX’s Techforce 19 programme, the Department for International Trade’s First 100 and the Digital Health Global 100.

About You

You will be an optimist, a doer and a confident product leader. You’re keen to make a mark in a fast growing company and you thrive on responsibility.  You will sit in the management team, setting the product agenda in collaboration with the Founders and within the parameters of the company’s strategy.

You have enough technical knowledge to actively manage a senior team of developers, scrum master, creative and QA. You’ll be a good communicator with an eye for detail, ensuring that the voice of the patient is at the heart of what we do, that our SDLC and quality management processes are adhered to and that our feature definition is actionable and robustly estimated.

You might have worked in a start up before, but either way, you’ll want to make a long term commitment, to have a stake in the company you work for and to get behind our joint vision and mission.

The Role

The role is end-to-end across our product - encapsulating product strategy, ownership and management across our web and mobile assets - and involves leading a team of ten, including behavioural and data scientists, UX/UI designers and 5-6 engineers working on a dedicated basis in an external company.

We are looking for an active participant in our product strategy, attending management meetings and occasionally reporting to the Board.

You will lead the business in identifying and prioritising key customer and clinician problems and tasks, running ideation and engaging stakeholders to clarify requirements and documenting user stories and acceptance criteria.

On the day to day, you can expect to engage with our users and stakeholders to come up with great ideas that we can define, evaluate and prioritise through our backlog.

You’ll work closely with our creative and engineering leads to clarify requirements and designs for upcoming work; with our behavioural- and data-scientists to inform product decisions with insights from science and academia; and with customer success and product admin to understand the deployment pipeline, answer questions as the product expert and to balance the delivery of the strategic roadmap with responding opportunistically to end-user issues.

You will attend daily stand us and support the development team in the estimating of new work, sprint planning and delivery phases of an agile development process including quality assurance and release.

The platform is CE marked and regulated by the MHRA. We use an ISO 13485 compliant Quality Management System and comply with a variety of NHS protocols around data security and management. If you haven’t done this before, you’ll need to show that you’re a fast learner.

You will report to the CEO and be part of the senior team.
