Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to support a long term engineering project lead by ADGA.
Tasks will include:
- Review SOWs (Statement of Works) and Evaluation Criteria received from the TA (Technical Authority)
- Prepare Procurement Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Participate in procurement working groups to develop procurement strategies.
- Draft solicitation documents, such as Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.
- Create procurement documents in the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), such as Purchase Requisitions, Requests for Quotation, Purchase Orders, Outline Agreements, and Call-Ups against Standing Offers/Supply Arrangements.
- Maintain digital and physical procurement files.
- Support TA and Procurement Authorities with procurement and contract reporting.
- Coordinate with Supply Managers and Canadian Forces Units for the receipt of procured goods and services.
- Review invoices and supporting documents.
- Perform any other work related to this category.
Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate at least 5 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist on Military Systems.Â
- Must have a Secondary School Diploma (ideally candidates will have a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting)
- At least 4 years experience within the last 8 years in at least 4 of the following tasks:
- using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- experience using Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) or SAP Material Management (Purchasing)
- reviewing procurement documents including statements of work, evaluation criteria and selection methodologies.
- developing procurement plans and strategies and conducting procurement and/or contract risk assessments.Â
- preparing contractual documentation which includes: requests for information, request for proposals, and contracts.
- providing advice and guidance on procurement and contracting to clients.Â
Additional Information
- Start date to be determined.
- Contract length potential is 5 years with the potential of multi-year extensions.
- Must hold a valid 'secret' clearance to work on this particular contract. Will process for candidates that are being strongly considered. Canadian will also require the Controlled Goods Certificate at point of hire.
