An exciting opportunity has arisen within Boeing Defence UK Supply Chain team!

The Role:

This position will be diverse, varied and range from supporting all BDUK Business Units (Vertical Lift, Fixed Wing and National Security and Defence) campaign and programme activity across commercial, military and global boundaries.

Responsibilities:

Boeing is seeking an experienced procurement professional with procurement full life-cycle experience to join the team as a Procurement Agent, directly supporting the Supply Chain Leadership team, who will be able to:

• Lead and manages targeted supply chain projects to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain organisation
• Implement Supplier management and procurement ensuring compliance with associated Boeing processes
• Integrates programme, customer product and in-service strategies into overall Supply Chain solution development
• Ability to support varying elements of the Supply Chain lifecycle from early campaign work, programme execution, process improvements and support to special projects in line with business needs. 
• Support to the establishment of flexible and innovative contracting strategies
• Conduct risk issue and opportunity management
• Initiates and completes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
• Provide strategic support to the purchase of goods and services where required
• Support the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with senior collaborators, peers and relevant functional areas
• Development of Supply Chain Management metrics to support all Business Units
• Provide additional experienced Bid and Proposal resource support for major campaign activity
• Provide additional support to the BDUK Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation project

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience in working within a high impact bid and proposal teams
• Experience in supporting proposals, contract terms and conditions development, and negotiation efforts
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams
• Ability to acquire UK SC security clearance
• Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role.
