As a Senior Policy Advisor you will work within Deliveroo’s integrated global comms & policy team. The role will play a key part in determining how Deliveroo leads the tech sector on diverse and varied issues, including: the future of work; how to reduce our impact on the planet; and the role of the industry in supporting healthy eating. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the development of specific policy positions, which will require you to set direction, forge consensus across the business and then make recommendations to the Exec team. 
• Representing Deliveroo at external meetings with politicians, policy makers and opinion-formers.
• Helping the business identify and address risks that could damage the business if they crystalise. 

Requirements 

• Experience and knowledge of Westminster politics, the UK civil service and local government 
• A self-starter who is able to size up a problem on its merits, and then execute a plan to tackle it with limited supervision
• Confidence in representing the company publicly 
• Ability to interact confidently with all aspects of our business including legal and operations. 
• Experience of policy in the civil service, as a discipline in-house or in an agency environment would be an advantage.
• Experience of public policy connected to the future of work, ecommerce, sustainability or public health would be an added bonus.
