Job Description

 Senior Planning Analyst

This is an exciting time to join the Field Strategy, Planning & Regulation team within Smart Metering & EV Install as we seek to become a leader within the growing UK Field Services market!

Your role as a Senior Planning Analyst, reporting directly to the Planning Manager, will be to develop the Smart and EV Installs plans as part of the Planning team, working closely with the Performance and Supply & Demand teams within Strategy, Planning and Regulation. This is a key role within SM&EVI, as a robust Smart deployment plan is instrumental to the delivery of our challenging regulatory hard installs targets.

Pay, benefits and culture…

In addition to a salary starting from £39,000, we offer a market-leading company pension scheme, paid holidays with ability to buy additional holiday and a range of flexible benefits, such as: a company incentive bonus plan, health cover, cycle to work scheme, electric vehicle scheme, gym membership, discounts and employee pricing.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you do not need to be in the office for this role full time. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself.  We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.  We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

What you’ll be doing…

In this role, you will deliver the annual and monthly Smart Installations deployment plan, setting out how SM&EVI will meet EDF’s regulatory hard targets and feeding in to core financial processes. You will work with stakeholders across SM&EVI to ensure that the Smart deployment plan is a credible operational plan that also considers wider requirements such as non-smart work mix and EV activity.

You will provide real-time analysis of performance data against latest plans, highlighting risks and opportunities and delivering scenario, sensitivity and impact analysis.

You’ll create and maintain the plan for EV installations, again feeding into the core business planning and financial processes. You will lead on developing and communicating short term forecasts on installs performance, providing recommendations and calls to action if there is deviation from plan.

You will deputise for the Planning Manager where required, and present analyses and provide Planning team expertise at various forums including internal SM&EVI forums and governance groups such as Smart Wednesday.
