About this role

In this job, you’ll be responsible for leading and driving the agile culture for running key strategic programs of Corporate Unit to ensure the entire CU is aligned to a single operating model that embraces Agile best practices to drive high quality, frequent delivery of business outcomes at pace, to create the best experiences that enhance both our customers’ lives and colleague experiences.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for leading and driving the agile culture for running key strategic transformation programs of Corporate Unit.

Define the transformation goals, leads through a team to implement the Transformation strategy for CU to effectively drive performance and deliver business results Applies business process management tools, techniques and methodologies to evaluate existing processes and effectively deliver business process improvements.

Manages a team of direct reports of Agile devivery managers ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver the plan and deliver excellence w.r.t resources Coaches agile deliver manager(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.

Proactively addresses systemic impediments to team agility and guides the team(s) on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers.

Improve the coordination across Tribes to deliver large scale technology development through technical releases to support quarterly Business Goals.

Work with the Portfolio Planning & Demand Managers and Tribe Agile Delivery Managers (RTE) identifying bottlenecks and reducing lead time from Idea to launch.

Embed and drive data-driven delivery, including the identification of key metrics.

Enhance core structures, governance, and ways of working from an end-to-end perspective working across squads, tribes, CU leadership whilst not disrupting in flight delivery programs.

 

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Be Agile: A solid understanding and thought leader of Lean Agile delivery practices with awareness of major frameworks (i.e. SAFe, Kanban) with the ability to lead collaborative Agile ways of working and effectively manage changing priorities.

Be Scaled: Experience in leading and optimising Agile delivery at scale across multiple teams, business units and geographies.

Problem Solving: Must be able lead and take ownership of proactively solving technical delivery problems end-to-end from ideation through to launch working across multiple platforms, impacting multiple services or cross Business areas.

Transformation: Be able to drive and manage long term changes and adapting the Tribe(s) in line with business needs of frequent customer centric, high quality and low-cost product delivery. Industry standard qualifications in Agile Leadership (i.e. Leading SAFe, SAFe POPM) and Scrum Mastering (i.e. CSM).

Leader: Leading a team of people from different locations or regions.

Storytelling with data: Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences, senior leadership, and engineering team members.

Adept at collaborating with other Senior Leaders to help drive Agile transformation to successful outcomes as well defining best practices in conjunction with the Lead Agile Coach and Delivery leadership. 

Have at least 3+ experiences of Scaled Agile delivery frameworks, ways of working, methods and tools including, experiences in Six Sigma and Lean thinking.

Have experience in using Programme and Portfolio Management tools such as JIRA
