Senior Manager, Product Technology Leadership, Public Relations

The Role:

Lead strategy for all Client, Graphics, and Data Center product and momentum technology leadership PR activities as well as driving technical implementation for product leadership globally, with direct responsibility for NA and Latin America. In conjunction with the Product PR and regional leaders, from an external perspective, this role would support the tier-one press, drive external coverage, and pickup via traditional/ social media reflective of our technology leadership, as well as crafting hands-on review product programs that help drive awareness of AMD technology leadership for new customers and partners. The overall goal is to drive maximum positive editorial coverage in the Americas as well as across the globe, aligned to the given resource and budget. Are you the person we are looking for?

The person:

An excellent communicator, with strong PR skills and a deep interest and knowledge of technology, the Product Technology Leadership PR lead will have strong communication skills as they will work closely with both HQ and global key partners to help craft the leadership storytelling around AMD products, spanning features and technologies across all AMD segments. We are looking for a self-starter, who can plan and implement HQ and regional communications strategy and technical product communications, representing AMD to the public via the media to maintain and increase positive perception.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead Product Technology Leadership PR activities to create strategic PR programs and technical campaigns that support key product launches and ongoing momentum across the AMD leadership product portfolio and technology leadership initiatives.
• Champion AMD focus products and implement highly effective communication campaigns, review cycles, and demand generation activities to drive awareness of and engagement with AMD technologies
• Plan and implement product communications, America's strategy, and regional communications direction, representing AMD to the public via the media to maintain and increase positive perception.
• Establish and maintain efficient communication with HQ AMD Product teams in NA. A key contributor to product launch requirements and timing for America's market, in liaison with Regional Communications.
• Direct contact and support of credible America's press and partners to encourage and drive exemplary use of AMD technology
• Coordination with product groups, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment of key priorities to support global priorities, regional initiatives, and AMD technology focus
• Strong team and people management/training to encourage excellent support of AMD regional communications priorities
• Lead external PR agencies to achieve desired efficiencies in spending while achieving desired business results

Preferred experience:

• Minimum of fifteen years working experience in Public Relations, with a strong technology background
• Excellent communications, organizational, and people skills
• Excellent technical skills and interest in the technology field across graphics, clients, and data centers.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Academic credentials:

• Non-technical bachelor’s degree, university, or equivalent degree
