The opportunity

The Corporate Commercial are seeking an experienced individual with excellent commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and project management skills to be part of this motivated and diverse team to fulfil the role of Senior Manager, Commercial Transformation.

As the Senior Manager, Commercial Transformation, you will report to the Associate Director, Governance and drive the ongoing development of transformational commercial initiatives across the portfolio, and in support the NSW Government’s 10-point commitment to the construction sector.

Key activities of the role include:

• Develop business processes to standardise commercial practices across the Sydney Metro Projects by implementing sound process re-engineering, project management and change management practices
• Engage with a broad stakeholder group within Sydney Metro to successfully consult, develop, and embed key change initiatives in the procurement and contract management teams across Sydney Metro
• Develop a suite of functional process documents which have high level of adoption, and drive a process of managing maturity uplift and change improvements in commercial processes
• Lead the implementation of standardised commercial principles and risk allocations for major contracts
• Develop and manage change control of Sydney Metro’s general specifications for major contract packages
• Develop contract management readiness to support Sydney Metro West and Western Sydney Airport
• Advocate the benefits of commercial standardisation and continuous improvement across Sydney Metro

About you

To be successful in these roles you will have:

• A curious mindset with a high enthusiasm for identifying and driving positive change in the business
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management skills, with considerable experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience applying program management and process transformation initiatives, optimally across the commercial lifecycle in infrastructure or a related sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualification(s), which may include business, engineering, construction management, project management or law.
