About the Team

The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney into a metropolis of three cities – Eastern Harbour City, Central River City and Western Parklands City - whilst also overseeing the Greater Sydney region.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly collaborative and experienced Senior Manager - Business Services to join us on a Fixed Term basis. In this role, you will deliver high level business support to senior executive management and their respective teams. You will manage cross-functional issues affecting the group such as safety, financial, business processes, reporting, strategic planning, and organisational improvement.

To do this successfully, you will:

Ensure strategies and plans developed by the division are translated into meaningful performance targets and relevant plans

Prepare complex correspondence, briefing notes, and reports

Manage and coordinate various internal and external requests and provide information in a timely manner

Ensure sound financial management for the division

Raise and follow up HR-related concerns

Manage and coordinate administrative functions, including office procedures, purchasing and records management and ensure compliance of the team with corporate administrative policies and procedures.

About you

We are looking for a highly organised, dynamic, and influential individual with extensive experience business planning and project management. You will also have experience in the development, management, and improvement of business systems, change management initiatives and implementation of quality assurance processes.

You have the demonstrated ability to think strategically, collaborate with diverse groups and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders to reach a common goal. You’re the glue that brings it all together!

You will have proven experience managing multiple stakeholders combined with sound experience in managing projects, and the proven ability to proactively identify, manage and resolve conflict and issues on complex, high profile projects while working in a politically sensitive environment.
