Our client, a Canadian well-respected public company is seeking a Senior Manager, Advisory & Assurance for their Risk Advisory Group. This role reports into the CRO & Director, Risk Advisory, and will have 2-3 direct reports. This is a critical role for our client, as the successful incumbent will be groomed to move into a Director role at some point in the future. This will be a hybrid working arrangement.
The Role:
• This Risk Advisory group operates like an inhouse advisory firm, and this is a full time, pure management consulting role.
• Driving and leading relationships and projects with the businesses and liaising with numerous cross-functional stakeholder in critical operational and strategic areas.
• Partnering and working with cross-functional teams to improve existing management processes or build new processes.
• Engagements will range from process optimizations, data analytics and visualization, risk & control assessments, assurance, and special high-priority consulting projects as requested by Executive Leadership and the Board.
• Develop, own, and present reporting materials for the Audit Committees and Executive Leadership meetings.

You enjoy partnering with the businesses and are a solutions provider. Your roots are in audit or risk, but you are very familiar with the consulting world. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and possess the right experience, leadership and interpersonal skills, and executive presence to drive partnerships and engagements with Stakeholders, Executive Leadership, and the Board. You are open to an ever-changing landscape.
Your Key Qualifications:
• Background (4-6 years) working for a Big 4 accounting firm in the Risk Advisory/Assurance practice or are currently at a Management Consulting firm in Risk Advisory. This role is very diverse and fast-paced, so the combination of Risk, Audit and Consulting/Advisory are mandatory.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• University degree mandatory, MBA considered an asset.
• CPA or CIA considered an asset.
• Real Estate experience highly preferred.
