The Team and General Responsibilities

This is a great opportunity to join a strong and stable team of extraordinary software engineers that work collaboratively to make consistent improvements to the Access-It Library products. As an Agile team they focus on all aspects of the SDLC and rely on their creative and technical skills to build beautiful, sophisticated software.

Some general responsibilities that everyone contributes to include:

• The development and maintenance of robust, readable and reusable code across the range of Access-It applications.
• Contributing to the existing range of web services currently in use to support the Access-It products.
• The modernisation of legacy code will be vital as more focus is pushed into the further development of Access-It Web Applications.
• Applications Security, designing and developing secure code.
• Participation in testing of other developers code, mutually assuring the quality of Access-It products.
• Clear and concise documentation as a collective

What you will bring

As one of the Senior Java Developers they are looking for someone with excellent core Java development skills, strong capability to scale and lead in the delivery of applications using the Spring Framework and the ability to use and work with SQL Databases.

You will contribute to the further development of best practices, technical leadership and have a strong capacity to learn and adapt quickly to the changing requirements of new and existing customers.

As you will be working with bespoke, in-house built products you will need an excellent eye for detail and quality will be one of your key drivers in writing beautiful software.
