The role is within the Investment Finance team. Your experience will be used to effectively manage client funds by investing in alternative assets via various investment structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring the team’s timely and accurate recording/processing of all investment fund operations, unit pricing and end to end fund accounting;

Delivering statutory and regulatory obligations and reporting, including BAS and income tax obligations, and annual audited financial statements (IFRS & US GAAP), RG 97 and helping lead the audit process;

Ensuring effective implementation and adherence of controls frameworks and compliance of investment mandate obligations; AND

Assist in the management of the outsourced Fund Administration function Participating in firm-wide projects and mentoring/coaching team members on processes.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

You will be tertiary qualified in a business degree and will ideally have completed either your CPA or CA studies.

Over 7 years' experience within Investment Accounting from a funds management and/or custody background is a must, exposure to private markets is beneficial.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills and capable of managing a multitude of complex tasks and projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy and presentation.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles relating to financial instruments, fair value, foreign exchange and income taxes.

Highly developed understanding of the Australian and international financial services market.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills is essential and experience with data analytics tools will be looked upon highly; AND

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
