“Our team is the first port of call for all short / medium term issues, answering the “I’ve never quite understood…”, or “something doesn’t feel quite right” types of operational or commercial questions impacting the Customer Service Group.

We act as “internal consultants” for Senior Customer Service Group management, with a focus on efficiency and potential revenue growth, using in-depth expertise of data sources and business knowledge to communicate impactful insights, recommending data-led recommendations to CSG leadership, at pace” – Head of Insight

What you’ll do:

  • Build strong relationships with Senior CSG leadership to reveal key, current business issues or concerns that impact our customers and people
  • Quickly acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in Sky data landscape and Business areas to identify best practice methodology to provide deep insight into complex problems / business questions
  • Design and lead data-led analytical projects, articulating findings and suggestions for improvement to key senior stakeholders
  • Advise and make recommendations to the business based on proactive use of multiple available data sources
  • Help ensure that the team is focussed on projects that add high value, identifying our greatest risks or opportunities
  • Work closely with Change teams, Customer Experience functions and Strategic Insight, clearly articulating problem statements and changes required
  • Solve complex problems within and beyond our area, providing technical support and coaching to other team members across the wider team

What you’ll bring:

  • In-depth understanding of the Google Cloud Platform and enterprise scale data warehousing methodology, experience in the transformation of complex data structures to unlock business value from data
  • Excellent SQL skills and familiarity with different SQL syntax, experience across a wide variety of databases (particularly Google BigQuery, Netezza, SQL Server)
  • The ability to develop a deep understanding of Sky’s data estate, enabling the ability to articulate data-led solutions to complex business problems
  • Quickly acquire knowledge of a wide variety of Sky business areas, particularly Service, but also including Product, Billing, Commercial etc
  • Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insight and deliver complex information in an easily digestible manner to non-technical audiences
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present insight and recommendations to a wide range of senior business stakeholders

Where you’ll work:

Dunfermline or Livingston is preference, but will consider any applicants that can get to a UK Sky site
