Your New Role

This is not your typical Developer role!

You’ll have much more impact on the business and will be seen as a Technical Consultant internally. Your role will be a blend of development and functionality customisations on vendor code, bug fix triages and working closely with business stakeholders on their requirements and how technology solutions can drive business growth. This role will have an impact and voice on the future technology stack of this start up and will focus on customising user experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, testing and deploying secure web and mobile applications with .NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript and other technologies;
• Working proactively with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, collate business’ needs by consulting with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas and following the software development lifecycle;
• Responsible for planning, processing and performing all JIRA tasks in an efficient manner;
• Apply best practice software design patterns into customisations of vendor code;
• Has the ability to communicate with stakeholders on how technical solutions will improve the business outcomes;
• Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports;
• Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions;
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, schema, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code; and
• Supports Agile practices and leads continuous measurable improvements.

Your Skills & Experience

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key experience/capabilities:

• Ideally minimum of 2 years in Front End Development, with strong experience with .NET (VB/C#), CSS, Javascript and React;
• Experience with Content Management Systems such as Umbraco highly regarded;
• Experience with Jira and Bitbucket highly regarded;
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences;
• You will take accountability for problems and show high levels of commitment for the job. You will be pragmatic and enjoying going above and beyond to deliver outstanding service; and
