The role of Senior Financial Accountant is to drive change and transform activity to deliver results.
As part of the finance team here at EDF Renewables, you will be responsible for prioritising and working collaboratively with other members of the team to meet tight deadlines and meet the highest standards of accuracy.
The Senior Financial Accountant works with the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to ensure financial information is prepared accurately and on time and meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders. The role assists the manager with coaching the Financial Accountants to develop their skills and competencies.
What’s my role and where do I fit in?
• Takes responsibility for the statutory accounting and reporting for the Company’s accounts, driving completion of the statutory accounts in a timely manner
• Responsible for the integrity and assurance of the financial ledgers and operate key reconciliation controls
• Responsible for monthly financial reporting analysis, reconciliations and adjustments
• Input to monthly and quarterly reporting, formal forecasts, medium-term plans and investment surveys. Accountable for submission into the financial systems of our shareholders
• Assisting the integration of new operations including the establishment of new companies within the reporting systems
• Responsible for liaising with external auditors, setting timetable and delivering accounts and requested information to time and quality. Responsible for the identification and delivery of improvements in this process.
• Ensuring accounting policies are successfully implemented and operating effectively across EDF RUK
• Liaising with the Finance Shared Service Centre to ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness of financial information
What do you need to be great at this role?
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Senior Financial Accountant with Accounting qualifications (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
You will have experience of operating at a large scale as part of a fast moving, growing business and must be able to work closely with and build relationships with stakeholders.
If you have worked in Renewables that would be an added bonus, however this is not essential.
