My client is an iconic company operating in the private sector, known for their superior quality of service. This business has a proud history and continues to see significant growth, due to which a need for a new Senior Financial Accountant has been arisen. The company has a culture where people are professional and driven but at the same time, the business retains the proud family feel. This is a 6-month contract with potential to go permanent.

The Role

You will report to the Finance Manager and be a part of the Group team based on the city fringe, who are responsible for a complete divisional unit within the business. You will be responsible for completing month-end including reporting, financial variance review and analysis.

Your duties will include:

Duties

· Monthly management reports, accruals, and intercompany reconciliations

· Weekly and monthly reporting and analysis

· Month-end close

· Preparation of statutory accounts

· Balance sheet reconciliations

· GST and FBT of multiple entities

· Lease maintenance and reconciliation, assisting with IFRS16

· Fixed asset/CAPEX management

· Ad-hoc project work

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role we are looking for a driven individual who wants to be part of a proud company with a view to adding and contributing to the growth of this business.

You will be CA or CPA qualified and have experience working in a similar volume-based environment or be able to cope in a dynamic and changing environment.

Most importantly, you will have strong financial acumen, a questioning mind where you like to derive outcomes and you will need to have strong communication skills. You will enjoy analysis and driving practical outcomes.
