Position overview

The ANU College of Science services team delivers high quality administrative support and leadership to the core academic activities of research and education for the , the most research intensive unit of the Australian National University.

The Finance Team within the College of Science is a professionally oriented management accounting unit. The Senior Finance Officer(s) reports to the Assistant Finance Manager (Team Leader) and as part of the team provides direct support to researchers in the management of grants, and supports their clients with the ongoing managing of operational budgets.

Our ideal candidate will have commenced a career in accounting/finance with a range of transferable skills. They'd have strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement capabilities and are naturally suited to explaining complex financial information to a broad range of stakeholders. Part time engagement will be considered for the right candidate.

The person will need the capacity to work well in a team environment with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

For this Senior Finance officer position(s), a degree in a relevant field will be highly regarded, as will progress towards CPA or CA membership.

Candidates will also be considered for a similar Accountant/Senior Finance Officer position in ANU Accommodation Services.
