As the Senior Finance Manager FP&A, your role will consist of involvement primarily in the reporting side of the department initially with a view to expanding duties across the planning side of the function too. In this role, the Senior Finance Manager will be supported by a Finance Manager and will ultimately be support in the Head of FP&A.
As an experienced FP&A Finance Professional, you will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of areas across the business, be able to challenge in the correct areas.
You will be involved in the following activity:
Establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls relating to financial reporting
Preparing accurate financial reports including Board and EXCO level materials and also for external purposes
Maintaining accounting and financial records and reports
Analysis of reporting actuals numbers vs. forecasts and external market with a key understanding of TalkTalk's position and strategy
You will possess an ability to challenge the standardisation of reporting to improve reporting quality and improve processes throughout the function
Ensuring systems and models are accurate and reflective of the correct outputs. This includes the ability to develop and evaluate models for accuracies, efficiency and improvements.
Preparing and distributing periodic financial statements for users within the organisation
Ensuring all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organisation policies
Operating all financial reporting and consolidation models
Leading on cashflow modelling and analysis for all reporting processes, improving knowledge and understanding across the team and wider organisation
Help with Going Concern modelling and support audit sign off
The role provides a broad overview of finance across TalkTalk. The Senior Finance Manager will be required to build relationships across all other finance teams and is likely to have regular interaction with senior stakeholders across finance including CFO and Group Financial Controller. A degree of autonomy is expected, with the Senior Finance Manager supporting the Head of FP&A.
Due to the highly technical nature of the role, and the requirement to work across all areas of the financial statements, the role holder would need to hold a recognised accounting qualification. Industry experience is not required but may be beneficial.
