What you’ll do:

Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager – New Markets & Businesses, you will be the key financial support for building adjacent businesses, commercial partnerships and new business opportunities for the Sky Group

• Financial planning for New Markets & Businesses
• Identifying and evaluating financial and business opportunities from our existing assets and in adjacent sectors, as well as opportunities in new markets
• Build financial models for new business ideas, enabling full appraisal of opportunities by the New Markets & Business management team
• Commercial deal support in negotiations with partners
• Financial reporting and tracking of our ongoing new business initiatives (and the benefits these agreements bring to our business), as well as all other financial impacts to the Sky Group from the New Markets & Businesses area

What you’ll bring:

• Self-starter with the ability to seek out, identify and appraise financial opportunities for a business
• Qualified accountant with over 2 years PQE, with good career progression to date whilst still on an upward trajectory
• Proven track record as a commercial finance business partner through month end, budgeting and long term planning processes
• The ability to build accurate financial models to appraise businesses with an understanding of company valuation techniques
• A strategic thinker who can the assess the key commercial impacts and rationale of a new business idea
• An interest in and an ability to assimilate global, macro and sector trends and what impacts these may have on our business
• Strong on relationships and building excellent working relationships with senior managers in the business, helping to understand their goals and work out how to sensibly achieve these with a positive financial impact to the Sky Group
