We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Engineering Manager to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.

Key Responsibilities:

To lead an engineering team and work on several major development projects with the commercial department and the engineering organisation to provide inputs into the bidding process and visibility into the market share, as well as progress the technology readiness level.

• Works with the commercial department to provide accurate engineering inputs into the bids process
• Provides leadership and strategic direction to the engineering department based on the market trend
• Supports the development of annual department goals and generate implementation plans to deliver against agreed targets
• Manages the development of a high performing team, including performance management, development and succession planning
• Utilise key performance indicators, aligned to overall business strategy, to drive efficiency and increase the engineering performance

Key Requirements:

• Proven leadership abilities with strong technical and communication skills
• Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline
• Previous experience of design, simulation and certification of aerospace products
• Familiarity of FAA and EASA regulations
• Detailed understanding of LEAN principles and application
