Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading and scaling engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in software or hardware performance optimization.
• Experience in the Chromium or Android open source projects.
• Experience building organizations.
• Ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and managers, of all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Web on Android Performance team.
• Identify opportunities and form a coherent strategy for what investments to make, trading off importance to Android versus ability to execute/have impact.
• Collaborate closely with other performance-focused teams across the Android and Chrome organizations.
• Advocate for performance and activate non-performance teams across Chrome and Android toward shared goals.
• Invest in a solid engineering leadership bench as well as necessary cross-functional relationships.
