We have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Newcastle team to support operations within the Hunter Valley including the Engineering Alliance team at Tomago Aluminium Smelter.

Responsibilities will include:

• Deliver electrical engineering services on time and within budget
• Project delivery across various multi-discipline greenfield & brownfield projects.
• Engage with our client to ensure a successful delivery of our projects and to continue to build our relationships.
• Supporting projects from conception through to construction and commissioning.
• Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team and consult with relevant resources as required
• Identify and report changes to project scope.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed designs, equipment selection, specification and procurement activities
• Contribute to appropriate studies, analysis and recommend actions.
• Participate in site inspections, design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

About You

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Project delivery experience is essential
• Previous experience in the Aluminium and heavy industries (including familiarity with relevant codes and standards).
• A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• Effective time, budget and people management skills.
