The Opportunity:
Due to continued growth - this principal contractor is now looking to appoint a Information Manager to join the business, they currently have over 160 employees and will turnover close to 300 million at the end of 2022. Operating around the UK.
Insight:
They will look at ambitious candidates that are currently in a Document Controller on Quality role with 1 years+ construction site experience. The Role:
You will be responsible for the NW Divisions Information Management: Covering Viewpoint for Projects, Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework, OneDrive and Email Management.
You will be office (1-2 days) and site based and will be travelling to sites in their region on a regular basis to engage and support the site teams with Information Management. You will also expectation to liaise with other regions and support when necessary.
- Setting up Projects on Viewpoint / SharePoint / Fieldview and setting up users
- QA Checking drawings/documents in line with naming protocol on Viewpoint
- Managing the workflows on Viewpoint and ensuring they are kept up to date
- Ensuring that staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors are following protocol when using Viewpoint i.e Marking up / Using the RFI tool etc.
- Ensuring compliance with Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework, OneDrive and Email Management protocols.
- Dealing with queries / issues from Site staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors
- Training Site Staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors on the various sites in Information Management
- Visiting various sites in their relevant regions
- Auditing SharePoint / Fieldview and Viewpoint for Site projects and reporting back to the Group Information Manager
- Managing Fieldview for the various sites, Drawing calibration, processes. Training will also be required for Site Staff and Subcontractors
- Monitoring the status of documentation through the workflows and chase outstanding information when necessary
- Managing the project email boxes for site projects
- Ensuring of GDPR legislations in practices.

Desired Experience:
- Must have experience in the Construction Industry
- Must have previous experience working on site or main office in construction.
- Experience using CDE Systems such as Viewpoint, Asite, Projectwise etc.
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages i.e word, excel, outlook and teams.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technology and software packages.
