This role is based remotely, with the long-term requirement to work flexibly from one of our Head Offices when required (we have offices based in Southampton, Yeovil and Paddington). This role will be working directly for Kingfisher plc.

We are looking for Senior Software Developers with a myriad of different tech backgrounds to join our Group Technology teams working with one of our banners, Screwfix. Screwfix (part of the Kingfisher group) are making some big, exciting changes to the IT estate. We are moving toward MACH (Micro Services, API, Cloud, Headless) using tons of new tech, Java, Kotlin, React, JavaScript, React Native, to name just a few.

We are looking for Senior Developers who want to gain a solid understanding of our business, enabling you to go beyond building applications that just meet business requirements, allowing you to operate at a level where you consistently identify areas for future work and are the driving force behind our applications evolving. You seek evidence to support your ideas and build cases for everyone to get onboard with, whilst operating with confidence. You will contribute to the common code bases and standards for your team and wider engineering principles, as well as following Object Orientated Design and SOLID principles. Not only do you give to these assets, but you communicate, and lead by example so your peers adhere to these methods, collectively crafting high-quality code. Naturally with all software engineering roles there may also be an aspect of out of hours technical support of our production systems
