Team Overview:

“We’re the Platform Governance team, responsible for reviewing and governing the best practices for developers/DevOps and testing across the Sky TV digital platform group. As a Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for liaising with the discipline owners and departments to triage status and progress. You’ll also be managing the maturity data, quality and updates, communicating with the auditing team” -Senior SRE Governance Manager

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with each discipline on progress of maturity matrix within it, liaising with departments for data collection

Communicate with departments to check on the progress and updates on the data entered

Collaborate with the resiliency and performance engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity, being responsible for ensuring that dashboards have no discrepancies

Cover both Peacock and Sky UK and EU areas

Build a functional knowledge of all components and their interfaces within the Sky platform

Engage with functional and non-functional test teams and uncover any gaps in the test suites regarding resiliency

Engage with DevOps teams and analyse the resiliency of the platform, infrastructure, deployments and disaster recovery

Liaise with delivery managers in order to track progress of the solutions proposed for the gaps highlighted, building a functional knowledge of all components and their interfaces within the Sky platform

What you‘ll bring:

Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills

Excellent ability to manage multiple high priority efforts/competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements and schedules

Experience as a DevOps engineer with development skills, with a background on working with highly technical teams and diverse technologies

The ability to document technical problems and solutions accurately

Hands-on experience with some of the following: Splunk, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, AppDynamics, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Java, DNS, Firewalls, Networks etc.

Hands-on experience in working with UNIX environments and virtualisation tools

A working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases

An inclination to understand capabilities of various technologies and their limitations

Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
