Are you an experienced data engineer and Power BI developer who’s looking to make an impact on a rapidly growing user community? Power BI is democratizing its data for improving client’s experience and you can be at the cutting edge of this effort, e.g., by designing and building in-product reports that allow clients to optimize their usage of Power BI. 

Responsibilities

You will be designing and implementing data pipelines, models and visuals that will be part of the Power BI offering for end users, as well as for internal use. You will be working with PMs, designers and other stakeholders to define these deliverables. You will be working with a report development team and will be responsible for driving the work on such deliverables from model creation, through testing and deployment to ongoing quality monitoring and support. Responsibilities include: 

• Engaging with stakeholders and validating requirements
• Validate source data quality and drive improvements
• Design, prototype, gather feedback, refine and ship Power BI data models, calcs and reports from PM requirements
• Provide ongoing support for shipped artifacts
• Develop/Implement data pipelines, data models, Power Query and reporting UI standards
• Assist report development team with day to day queries and issues, backlog management and communications

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with data and big-data technologies such as – Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse
• 5+ years working on data analysis and with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• 2+ years of Power BI experience

Preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years of BI experience in an enterprise setting 
• 1+ years of management or technical leadership experience 
• BA/BA or MS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering 
• 2+ years of software development engineering, working with Java, C# or similar
