Worldwide Learning is seeking a Data Architect leader responsible for the end-to-end conceptual and technical data design to help business stakeholders answer the question that will allow them to create and meet complex strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Own the data architecture for the World-Wide Learning Organization. Lead the design, analysis, and data architecture efforts for real-time Data intelligence services used to solve complex business problems. Define and drive data standards for Data use across the organization. Partner with Data Engineers to deliver data capabilities to internal and external customers. 

Assist in the transformation of high-volume complex data structures into relevant information that can be used by Data Scientists, BI Analysts, and Feature Engineers. Work closely with product planning and business insights stakeholders to help define the strategy to best meet our customers’ needs. 

Become an expert on our platform architecture, functionality, and data flows as well as operations, processes and tools. Leverage business and application knowledge to create flexible, robust and well-documented data solutions. 

Design data models and define both logical and physical models. Help to maintain a robust data dictionary and facilitate user adoption.  

Coordinate with data owners to secure access and identify data handling and security requirements. Drive requirements for proof-of-concept tools to validate connectivity, throughput, and limitations of those data sources.

Qualifications

Qualifications

6+ years of experience with data structures, programming languages (SQL), using SQL and other tools to query and investigate data sources.

6+ years of experience in data architecture, data modelling and common data models, data acquisition, data delivery methodologies and documentation.

6+ years of experience with Business Intelligence, ETL, and Reporting.

3+ years of experience in and a deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Privacy and Data Security.

2+ years of experience in the Cloud.

Experience leading significant data architecture transformation at a technical level within an organization. This may include work in Master Data Management (MDM), ETL development with data integration to support data marts, extracts and reporting, Data Governance, lineage, discovery, etc. 

Demonstrated experience in information architecture, analytics, schema evolution, data organization layouts. 

Experience in full BI lifecycle of data warehousing and data integration projects from design to development to support.

Experience working with transactional, temporal, time series, and structured and unstructured data. 

Knowledge of Data Consumption: BI analytics, product analytics, data science. 

Experience with cloud data services.

Proactive, and accustomed to working with aggressive project timelines and with a history of delivering high quality technical solutions to data-driven business challenges. Ability to assess the business value and feasibility of proposed data, analytics and platform use cases.  

Strong understanding of complex business problems to ensure data in answering the questions that will provide the business the strategic advantages they need.

Cloud Security Background Check every two years. 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of knowledge of Azure based big data & analytics platforms: ADLS, ADF, DataBricks, Azure Data Warehouse, Power BI, Azure Datalake, Azure ML, etc. 

BI/Analytics/Visualization tools: PowerBI or Excel. 

Azure DevOps, GitHub.
