The Xbox Cloud Gaming team is looking for an experienced Data & Applied Scientist with a track record of advanced analytical modeling, querying, analysis and storytelling. This role will partner with engineers, PMs and other data scientists to turn our data into actionable learnings for the product.

Responsibilities

• Create models to understand levers of churn and retention by different customer segments
• Use machine learning and other advanced modeling to draw insight on levers of customer satisfaction which will be used to inform product priorities and roadmap.
• Transform telemetry to business insights through partnerships with engineering and data platform teams.
• Analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
• Seek meaning in the data through exploration of large datasets to find clues about growth opportunities and product insights

Qualifications

• Required:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in an analytical function
  • Master’s degree in quantitative field, or equivalent of work experience
  • Outstanding cross-group collaboration skills ability to drive results across multiple organizations
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years
  •

  • Experience with big data and reporting stacks
  • Experience designing / operating online services including defining and improving operational / business metrics
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
