The Corporate Communications team is responsible for protecting and promoting Sainsbury’s reputation. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the Senior Corporate and Financial Communications Manager is responsible for the day to day planning and delivery of the financial calendar and all corporate stories.

You will bring to life what we are doing to ensure customers find low prices, innovative food and convenient ways to shop. You will work across print, broadcast and owned channels to creatively land your work to external audiences. You will be a champion of digital communications and you will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

The role is suited to someone with strong media relations experience, particularly with business media and broadcast media, who enjoys identifying and developing stories. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer and have experience delivering company results announcements and a proven record of overseeing and executing campaigns.  Event management will also be an asset.

 More about the role:  

• Day to day lead on the planning and delivery of financial communications, including but not limited to, trading statements, interims, prelims, M&A activity.
• Responsible for managing the corporate media plan and taking the lead on key storytelling that brings to life our strategy.
• Work with the Head of Corporate Communications to raise the profile of our leadership team and senior management teams across our business, demonstrating that we have the best leadership in retail.

• Management of key media events that bring to life our strategy for journalists.
• Provide guidance and support to two direct reports.
